  • WordPress.com

There are differences between these two websites. WordPress.org is free to use for everyone with every feature available. You can download the software from WordPress.org and install it on your webserver to use it. After installing the software, you need to take care of the domain name, hosting, maintenance, and last but not least, security and backup of your website. However, while using WordPress.com, all these features are handled by WordPress.com. There are both free and paid plans. The free service comes with the essentials needed, and the paid service offers advanced access with more and better features.
